5 Stars Fun for 6 Year Old and Parent
I wanted a game that was appropriate for my son’s age – not too much violence and not too difficult for him to play. I also wanted something that he would enjoy, but wouldn’t be so young that I couldn’t have fun with it as well. Mario Cart has proven to be a good choice. Since buying this game, my son and I have spent at least a few hours playing the game together. It has been fun and some good bonding time. Another thing I like is that young kids don’t have to swing the control around like in other games. My son has one friend, age 5, who almost threw one of the Wii remote controls straight through our flat screen tv while playing a different game. Operating the steering wheel still allows kids to move around some without my wife and I worrying about what might get broken. Up to four people can play at the same time. This game only comes with one steering wheel. If more people are going to play, you will need to buy a steering wheel for each player. There is enough variety in this game, characters, car choices and different race tracks with increasing difficulty, where you should have fun for quite some time. I highly recommend this game for younger children and for mom & dad!
5 Stars Fun stuff
I like the driving games for ease of use.I am not a “gamer”, so games that anyone can learn quickly attract me.This is fun stuff.
5 Stars Mario Kart Wii is Amazing
This game is so much fun. I’m an adult and love it. It’s a great game to play when we have a few people over. Also, the Nintendo wi-fi connection allows us to race against from friends out of state. So much fun.
5 Stars Fun for all!
Wow! This is so much fun! I don’t usually get involved in driving games, but this one totally captivated me. I play with my husband and 9 year old. I place between 7th and 12th everytime, but it’s great family fun. Love it!
4 Stars I had never played a Mario Kart game before..
That is, until last week. I went over to a friend’s house, we were hanging around and she pulled out her old N64, and we played Mario Kart on it. I loved it. I’ve never been into racing games of any kind, but Mario Kart was just.. I’m not sure how to properly put it, so I’ll just say it was different.
A few days later, I went to Best Buy and bought Mario Kart Wii, hoping it would be just as good, and it is, I have just as much fun playing MK Wii as I did playing it on the N64, the Wii Wheel makes it a little more so, though, but it’s also a little less in some areas..
Part of the reason I love this game so much is partially because it doesn’t just seem like a race, it seems like a battle, thanks to those magnificent items. Now, in the N64 Mario Kart they didn’t seem so over used, at least not when I played it, but they can get so annoying in this game. On multiple instances I’ve been in first place, way up in first place around 10 seconds ahead of second place, only to be pelted by not one, but MULTIPLE items, sometimes just causing me to go into second, but I’ve been pelted by so many at once before that it cost me to go to around fifth-seventh. Needless to say, it’s had me pretty.. mad, a few times, but honestly, that one problem I have with the game is nothing compared to the enjoyment I get out of it.
I will say this: I feel like the game needs to be.. maybe ten dollars or so cheaper. It is a great, great game (and one of my favorite games I own now, too) but, well, it just seems a little high up to me. I don’t regret spending the $[...] that I spent on it, not at all, but still..
