The sports genre is one that’s been getting quite saturated recently, with yearly updates provided on all the major sports in the world as well as games released for all the major sporting events. Because of this, SEGA have tried to take a different approach, as Wacky World of Sports is an extremely humourous take on the serious sports games.

We Be Cheerin’…
September 30th, 2009
Mike W It’ll be October in two days. It’s kind of ridiculous. I’ve talked before about time flying, but this is getting a bit out of hand. Dead Space:Extraction is out as of today, and yes, I will be getting it soon; SuperTurtleSmashBros. (yes, I know it’s called TMNT:Smash Up, just sayin’…) is also out; we all know MySims:Agents is out….where the hell did the time go? You know in those alien movies where people who got abducted come back and didn’t realize any time has passed but in real life it’s been like 5 years and their wives remarried their best friends and their kids don’t even know who their dad is for real and it winds up getting all tense before one of the characters eventually snaps? Is that what is happening here? There is no way it’s almost October. I refuse to believe it. I know all the signs are there-from the pumpkins in front of Whole Foods to the Xmas decorations slowly but surely making their way into Target-but I just don’t buy it. I mean, you all know how I bleed for hip-hop, and enough time has passed for us to get the new Raekwon and a new Ghostface album. Before I know it we’ll be in 2010 and the parent-pressure (Parent-pressure is kind of like peer pressure only it comes from parents and normally revolves on their desire for you to a) have a baby, b) get married, or c) move out of their house. I moved out without having to be asked, am the first to be married, so a baby is all they have left to ask for. Mrs. Mike is an only child, so her parents will turn it on soon. Yeah, so dibs on that on that soon to be very common addition to the lexicon of America.) to have a baby will be beyond excessive. All this talk of time flying makes me feel old, feeling old makes me want to feel young again, makes me want to go to high school, makes me want to cheer…
Did someone say cheer?!?! Well, you’re in luck. L-U-C-K!! LUCK!! LUCK!!! LUCK!!! I would’ve made a hell of a cheerleader. It might have been weird showing up with pom-poms and school spirit seeing as how the hippy school I went to didn’t have any organized sports… Anyway, I know you all remember the mega-super-awesome smash hit “We Cheer!” that came out for the Wii last year, right? Don’t front, I know you all played the crap out of that game. Mrs. Mike wanted me to get it for her, but I bought Daisy Fuentes Pilates instead. Anyway, after the success of We Cheer you knew there’d be a sequel. Yeah, I didn’t either. The sad thing is, I’m pretty sure there’s at least one other cheerleading based game on the market. Unfortunately, that one doesn’t have a sequel coming up that is self-promoting with new gameplay trailers that are sequeltacular (dibs). Yeah, I’m grasping at straws with this one guys. I know this isn’t the Agents review I promised you, but I promise you’ll get it. For now though, you are getting a vintage rant from myself, and a few videos from We Cheer 2. That’s got to be the next best thing, right? Check the videos below. Enjoy and stay thirsty my friends.

My Sims Agents Review
September 30th, 2009
Digg RSS Search for wii review My Sims Agents grabbed me, put me in an interrogation room, and grilled me for hours. Okay, not really, but this Wii game captivated my interest better than any video game has in some time. The player starts out as a detective, solving cases in his town. He eventually becomes a secret agent, and has to solve cases all over the world. Some…
